Before I talk about how fun Fathers Day was I have to cover something. Does anyone else have trouble buying gifts for their husbands? I'm not sure why but I don't remember the last time I hit a home run with a gift for Dorian. I have tried everything from cheap to expensive, thoughtful and sentimental to completely practical. I have even just given him what "I" wanted then I knew one of us would be happy (which worked out pretty good:). Well after that big sob story I think I figured it out. "Send him to the store. Have him buy what he wants then when he brings it home I wrap it." Whew!! that only took 21 years to figure out!!
Fathers Day was fun. Sunday mornings are kinda slow around our house anyway so it was fun just relaxing, eating a huge breakfast and enjoying a beautiful day.
For dinner we had all of dorians favorites, vegetables and fruit from our garden. Steak, grilled shrimp and pineapple. Then we opened his new fitness equipment he bought himself:)
Dorian you are a wonderful father and our children are extremely lucky to have you!
